Black Friday may still be a number of weeks away, with the official day on November 29, but there are plenty of deals going live. Black Friday is a great time to buy a big screen TV, with retailers slashing prices on giant screens left and right. In this guide, we’re delving into the best 85-inch TV Black Friday deals.
While some of the bestBlack Friday dealswill be on or around the day itself, retailers aren’t hanging around with getting some terrific offers live. In the US, Best Buy and Walmart have announced their sales for November 8 and November 11 respectively and in the UK, Currys, Argos, John Lewis, Very and whole host of other retailers have already launched Black Friday sales!
When it comes to thebest 85-inch TVs, you need to get the balance of performance vs price right as it can be easy to opt for alarge, cheap LED screen, but this is something to beware, as I explained during Black Friday last year. Hisense 85-inch U7N mini-LED TV:was $2,199.99 now$1,299.99 at Best BuyThe Hisense U7N has proven itself to be one of 2024’s best value TVs. It delivers bright, detailed and colorful mini-LED picture quality with a good list of gaming features including 4K, 120Hz (up to 144Hz for PC gaming), VRR and Dolby Vision gaming and does it at a very affordable price. Samsung 85-inch QN85D mini-LED TV:was $3,699.99 now$1,799.99 at Best BuyThe Samsung QN85D is the entry-level model in Samsung’s 2024 Neo QLED (mini-LED) range and delivers great contrast levels, dynamic colors and realistic textures. It also comes with four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting 4K, 120Hz, VRR and ALLM, alongside a wealth of cloud gaming options. LG 83-inch B4 OLED TV:was $3,499.99 now$2,499.99 at Best BuyServing as the entry-level OLED TV in LG’s 2024 lineup, the B4 has had a number of updates over its predcessor, the B3, including a faster processor, a new 48-inch size and four HDMI 2.1 ports. It still delivers rich contrast, vibrant colors and refined details in its picture as well as a great suite of gaming features, all for cheaper than any other 2024 OLED. Samsung 85-inch QN90D mini-LED TV:was $3,599.99 now$2,299 at SamsungThe Samsung QN90D sets itself apart from fierce mini-LED TV competition in one area – sports. The QN90D possess excellent motion handling and high, full-screen brightness that make it perfect for viewing sports in bright, daytime environments. It delivers fantastic picture quality for movies too, with vivid colors, spectacular contrast and lifelike details. It also posses an excellent suite of gaming features – four HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K, 144Hz, VRR and ALLM as well as clod gaming – and brilliant gaming performance. TCL 85-inch QM7 mini-LED TV:was $1,999.99 now$1,499.99 at Best BuyWhile we haven’t tested the TCL QM7, we have tested (and loved) the step-up TCL QM851G. Although you won’t be getting the same quality in the QM7 as the QM8, you are still getting mini-LED picture, both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support and a good number of gaming features including 4K, 120Hz, VRR, ALLM and Dolby Vision gaming. At $1,499.99 for the 85-inch screen, this deal is superb value and another big screen, mini-LED to keep your eye on.

Samsung 85-inch Q60D QLED TV:was £2,299 now£1,249 at AmazonAlthough it is the entry-level model of Samsung’s QLED range, the Samsung Q60D delivers excellent colors and rich contrast thanks to its Dual LED feature. It also demonstrates lifelike textures and details. A step-up over standard LED, the Q60D is a great TV and this deal cuts the Q60D’s 85-inch model in half! TCL 85-inch C805 mini-LED TV:was £1,599 now£1,298 at CurrysThe TCL C805 is easily one of 2024’s most underrated TVs. It delivers mini-LED with effective local dimming, resulting in rich contrast, surprisingly deep black levels and vibrant colors that rival more premium TVs. It also comes equipped with sought-after gaming features including 4K, 120Hz (up to 144Hz), VRR, ALLM and Dolby Vision gaming. Samsung 85-inch Q80D QLED TV:was £3,299 now£2,199 at AmazonThe Samsung Q80D is a mid-range TV that can do it all – excellent, QLED picture quality with bright colors and surprisingly deep black levels and an extensive list of gaming features including 4K, 120Hz, VRR and ALLM across four HDMI 2.1 ports. Hisense 85-inch U7K mini-LED TV:was $1,999 now$1,495 at CurrysThe deal on the Hisense U7K (2023) nets you an 85-inch, mini-LED TV for under £1,500 – what’s not to love? While we haven’t tested the 85-inch U7K, we’ve tested the larger, 100-inch model and were suitably impressed by how effective its backlight was on such as large screen. The 85-inch model is likely to deliver similar bright, colorful and realistic looking picture quality and still carries excellent gaming feautres, icluding 4K, 144Hz, VRR, ALLM and Dolby Vision gaming. The U7K has been lower before, hitting £1,249 at one stage, but even at £1,495, it’s excellent value for an 85-inch screen.

When will the 85-inch TV Black Friday deals start in 2024?
85-inch Black Friday TV deals have already started! While we expect the best offers and biggest discounts to appear over the coming weeks, some retailers are already putting sales and offers live. In the UK, Currys has agreed to price match any future discounts all the way to December 2, so you should be able to buy now with confidence that you won’t miss out, if you see a deal you like.
Black Friday deals will appear regularly from now on and although some retailers will the save their best offers until the day itself, we’ve seen record-low prices hit as early as the start of November before, and we’re seeing some now, so keep your eyes peeled.
Is Black Friday the best time to buy an 85-inch TV?
Black Friday is a very good time to buy an 85-inch TV, as this often when retailers save their best deals for in the year. In the past, even in the lead up to day itself, we’ve seen best-of-year or record-low prices on 85-inch TVs.
We’re always hoping for some more lowest ever prices this year, as we do every year, and although Amazon went big during its Prime Day and Big Deals Day events in July and October earlier this year, we expect it and other retailers to try and outdo themselves in November.
