We recently learned abouta Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon X Elite – XE1800, by Geekbench listing.
This time,Windows Latesthas reported that they found Lenovo hardware, which uses a different Snapdragon X Elite SKU. This indicates that Qualcomm might be working on creating multiple SKUs for Snapdragon X Elite.
Qualcomm has been working with Microsoft to develop powerful ARM-based chips for Windows OS for nearly ten years. With Snapdragon X, it is expected to have more advanced chips; here are a few things that show it is a major upgrade:
The new Snapdragon X Elite isSnapdragon X Elite – X1E78100 – Qualcomm Oryon CPU, which was spotted in the Geekbench listing and was tested on Lenovo 83ED, which is the reason we believe that Snapdragon is working on multiple SKUs.
We also think that Qualcomm might be testing different Snapdragon X-branded SKUs for Windows, and X Elite is just one of them. Due to the name, we also think that X Elite might be the higher version and Snapdragon might be also working on some others for different purposes.
As of now, we don’t have more information about this new Snapdragon chip, but it could be designed for a different objective than Qualcomm ZH-WXX (X1E80100), and there could be more SKUs.
What do you expect from this new Qualcomm processor? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
