Microsoft is heavily invested in Copilot, and the company is working on afaster way to open Copilot on Windows 11, along with many other features.

Despite constant improvements, this service has received some harsh criticism lately, so let’s see what the fuss is about.

Copilot image generation gets heavily criticized due to inappropriate content

Copilot is constantly evolving, and the service just gotSuno, Adobe Express, and Spotify integrations. However, it seems that some Microsoft employees aren’t happy with Copilot’s image generation.

Asreported by Digit, the criticism comes from Microsoft’s principal software engineer Shane Jones. In a letter to the US Federal Trade Commission and Microsoft’s board of directors, he requested for the service to be investigated.

According to him, the Copilot image generator was capable of generating inappropriate content that included violence, underage drinking, drug use, and more.

He also mentioned political bias and presence of the conspiracy theories. He asked for more awareness to prevent any potential misuse of this feature.

Microsoft has publicly addressed these concerns stating the following:

The company is committed to addressing any employee concerns in line with its policies and appreciates efforts to enhance the safety of its technology.

Hopefully, Microsoft will investigate and address these concerns shortly and make Copilot image generation safer to use.

It’s not only Microsoft that is having issues with AI image generation, and recentlyGoogle Gemini disabled image generation of peopledue to problems with historical accuracy.
