We’re barely into November, and we’re starting to see early Black Friday vacuum sales going live already. In this article we’ll be rounding up all the best discounts for you to browse, as well as helping to guide you to the right model for your needs and budget.
TheBlack Friday salesinclude pretty much everything you can imagine, but appliances like vacuums are always well represented. Usually, we’d recommend waiting until a little closer to the big day itself (29 November) to start shopping, but we’re seeing some especially strong early deals this year, and in the US in particular. We’ve spotted some historic low prices already.

There’s powerful suction, an ultra-maneuverable floorhead, and useful features like an LCD information screen and an auto mode that adjusts based on how dirty the floor is, for an efficient and low-effort clean. The hair screw tool is perfect for tackling hair on furniture.

Shark Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum:was $259.99 now$199.99 at AmazonThere’s $60 off this Shark cordless vac at Amazon, which is a decent price for this model. We’re not familiar with this specific vacuum, but Shark consistently scores highly on review, and this model boast many features we’ve praised elsewhere, including LED headlights to illuminate hidden dust, a clip that enables you to store the vacuum freestanding, and a larger than usual dust cup. This model has occasionally dropped as low as $149 in the past, so it might be worth holding off to see if a better offer appears on Black Friday.

Shark PowerDetect cordless stick vacuum:was $429.99 now$379.99 at SharkThis is Shark’s newest launch, and this is the first discount we’ve spotted. It’s designed to combine the outright power of the Stratos range with the smarts of the Detect Pro range, and in ourShark PowerDetect cordless stick vacuum reviewwe found it really delivered.
If you have allergies, consider adding the auto-empty base (also discounted,was $499.99 now $449.99) to avoid having to empty it nearly as often.
Dyson Outsize Origin cordless vacuum:was $599.99 now$399.99 at AmazonThis is the lowest price we’ve seen on this model, by some way – and $100 less than the previous low price. It’s a scaled-up version of a Dyson cordless vacuum, with a larger bin and wider floorhead, making it perfect for larger homes. There’s up to a full hour of cleaning on one charge – we gave it a nearly perfect 4.5* in ourDyson V11 Outsize review.
Shark AZ3002 Stratos Upright Vacuum:was $449.99 now$349.99 at Best BuyFor outright power, you can’t beat a corded upright, and this Stratos model is one of the very best. As well as superb suction, this model has a versatile design with a motor/dust cup that can be simply lifted off and held when you want to use the wand to get under furniture. It’s not quite the lowest price we’ve ever seen on this model, but it’s far cheaper than it usually is, and great value for money.

Dyson Ball Animal 3:was $399.99 now$299.99 at Best BuyWith $100 off, this deal matches the lowest price we’ve ever seen on this powerful upright, and it’s very rare to see it this cheap. In ourDyson Ball Animal 3 reviewwe praised the suction power and ultra-maneuverable ball design, although do be aware this vacuum is big and heavy.

Dyson Digital Slim:was $499.99 now$249.99 at DysonThe Digital Slimmightbe a new launch from Dyson, designed as a lighter and more streamlined stick vacuum option. This half-off deal is the first discount it’s had, and looks like excellent value for money. It still has up to 40 minutes of battery, a super-effective filter, and Dyson’s powerful motor.

Dyson Cyclone V10 Total Clean:was £449.99 now£299.99 at DysonThe V10 is an older Dyson vacuum that’s had a major discount ahead of Black Friday. The ‘Total Clean’ bit refers to the complete range of tools and accessories included, making this model in particular ultra-versatile. In ourDyson Cyclone V10 reviewwe found this vacuum powerful and well designed, but noted that it’s only really worth buying if you find a good discount – which this is.

Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum:was £449.99 now£299.99 at SharkThe Stratos is one of Shark’s most powerful cordless vacuums in terms of suction, making it a great choice for those with lots of carpet, or pet hair to tackle. In ourShark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum reviewwe awarded it an almost-perfect 4.5*. This is an all-black Black Friday special edition, with a complete range of toolsandan extra battery that you can hot-swap in. This is an outstanding price for such a complete package.

Dyson V8 Advanced:was £329.99 now£229.99 at DysonThe V8 is an older Dyson, but still extremely capable, and ridiculously good value with this early Black Friday deal. We’re not sure what the ‘Advanced’ bit refers to, because it looks identical to the regular V8, which you can read all about in ourDyson V8 review. This deal is also the cheapest V8, of any configuration, we’ve found.

When will the Black Friday vacuum deals start in 2024?
Black Friday is on 29 November 2024, but long gone are the years when it was just a one-day event. The sales tend to really kick in around mid-November, and many retailers will do a ‘Black Friday week’ starting from Monday 25th, or possibly the weekend preceding it.
However, we’re already seeing Black Friday vacuum sales going live – Dyson launched an early sale at the start of November (across the US and UK) and Shark UK launched ‘Black Friday exclusives’ in the first week of the month, too.
Third party retailers tend to follow suit, and we’ve started seeing record-low prices on vacuums at retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, John Lewis and Lowes. The Black Friday offers morph intoCyber Monday deals(this year, 2 December).
Is Black Friday the best time to buy a vacuum cleaner?
Probably. While vacuum deals pop up throughout the year, no other shopping event is so widely participated in as the Black Friday sales, which means you can expect the biggest variety of deals, and retailers all trying to outdo each other to win your custom. Some brands will likely use the event to offer all-time low prices, too, or as an opportunity to run down stock on older (but still good quality) models.
Where will I find the best Black Friday vacuum deals?
It’s safe to expect pretty much every major brand and reputable retailer to have some kind of Black Friday sale. We’d generally recommend figuring out the vacuum you want, then shopping around to find where it’s on sale for the lowest price.
In the US, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target are some of the best places to shop for vacuum deals. UK shoppers should check places like John Lewis, Currys and Argos, as well as Amazon. It’s also worth looking at your chosen brand’s own website – there will be deals direct at Dyson and Shark for sure.
What Black Friday vacuum deals can I expect in 2024?
Expect to see strong discounts from market-leading brands like Shark and Dyson, as well as the likes of Bissel, Henry and Tineco. The smartest way to shop the Black Friday vacuum deals is to use them to get a really good quality vacuum for a lower price. However, if you’re on a tight budget, you could also head to Amazon where you’ll find no-name brand vacuums for ultra-low prices – and perhaps the occasional older Shark model thrown in.
The focus will likely be on cordless stick vacuums, but you will also be able to find offers on uprights and handhelds, if that’s what you’re after.
