Last year,Microsoft Teams introduced Townhall, which can be used to host large-scale virtual events in an organization, say live releases, internal reviews, and more. To streamline the Town Hall organization, Microsoft is adding a dedicated chat for presenters and co-organizers.

This allows you to chat with fellow organizers in a dedicated chatbox, separate from the one for attendees. You can start the chat before commencing the event, and it will be available even after the event.

As per the information available from Microsoft, the feature will start rolling out in March 2024 for Microsoft Teams’ Windows and Mac apps. Since it’s a targeted release, admins can control how to (and when) roll out the update to users.

It seems likeMicrosoft is working extensively on Town Hall to make things easier, and in line with it, has made a few significant changes in the recent while.

Teams’ Town Hall now has live captions, allowing users worldwide with different language preferences to participate in live streamings. Besides, co-organizers can edit live Town Hall meetings.
