Riot Games is set to release a new action game, set in the world of Runeterra, the same world that hosts the character and lore of the popularLeague of Legendsgame.

This new game has been teased out by Riot Games for a while, under the name of Project L, and now has been renamed to 2XKO, which is an equally confusing name, if you ask us.

In the teaser trailer, which depicts some of the gameplay, users are somehow baffled by the renaming, saying the old name, although confusing as well, sounded much better than the current one.

It’s crazy how project L is a better name.

Project L team, I have been insanely excited for this game to come out and want nothing but success from it. Ya’ll gotta change the name. It’s not too late. 2XKO is terrible and it’s going to be a marketing nightmare.

Not gonna lie, the placeholder name is better. If you can’t even know how to pronounce a name at a glance, idk, someone thought this up and someone approved it, and both were paid to do so.

As you can see in the trailer, Project L, erhm, sorry…, 2XKO (Project L still sounds better, though), will be a very Mortal Kombat-inspired game, featuring many of the League of Legends iconic characters such as Jinx and Ahri.

The game is slated for release in 2025, on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5, and more details about the game will be revealed in 2024, possibly in November, when the second season of the highly acclaimed Arcane series will be released.

However, it’s still not too late for Riot Games to take it back, and let 2XKO be Project L. What do you think of the title?
