Final Fantasy XVI, released inJune’23for PlayStation, could soon make its way to the Xbox ecosystem. Developers have confirmed plans to start working on bringingFinal Fantasy XVIto other platforms.
In an interview withNoise Pixel, developers Naoki Yoshida(Producer)and Takeo Kujiraoka(DLC Director)said,
While Naoki Yoshida didn’t hint at an Xbox release, he’s mostly talking about the platform because that’s still a significant untapped market waiting for the release ofFinal Fantasy XVI.
The game could be released on Nintendo Switch as well, but experts believe that developers would prioritize Xbox over the handheld console.
PC version of Final Fantasy XVI in the final stages, to be out soon
Speaking on the release of the PC version ofFinal Fantasy XVI,Naoki Yoshida confirmed that the game will be released within a year.
As per Yoshida, game development is going on smoothly and the remaining work should be completed in the next few months. Developers are currently focused on optimization work.
Also, Yoshida confirmed speculations thatFinal Fantasy XVIwill have a demo (trial) version for the PC. It will help you ascertain the game’s performance on your machine and identify any compatibility issues before purchase.
For now,Final Fantasy XIV was released on Xbox, but to the player’s dismay, thegame uses a new currency,FFXIV.
