Microsoft released the build 122.0.2365.3 to the Edge Dev channel, and it comes with several fixes for some annoying Copilot issues in the browser. These issues were mainly disrupting the browser’s UI, breaking many areas and rendering some of them unusable.

For example, switching the Show Copilot and going back to Sidebar Settings would completely hide the Restart button for the AI tool. Windows Copilot’s continuity dialog box on the Desktop would also not open. Copilot on Edge would also make the color of the status bar look very weird, according to users, when changing the system’s dark/light mode.

However, with the release of the latest build earlier this week, these issues are now resolved and users should have a smooth experience with Copilot on Microsoft Edge Dev now.

The Insider channels are known for being unstable at times, however, considering the new changes to the Edge design in the Dev channel, including the recent additions that make it look similar toWindows 11’s general theme(Microsoft also added Mica effects to Edge Dev), Copilot will most likely run into issues with them, as well.

So, if you’re looking to have a nice experience with Copilot on Microsoft Edge, best use it in the stable channel.

Edge Dev 122023 also brought many other fixes, changes, and improvements to the channel, and you can check the complete listhere.

Are you on Microsoft Edge Dev? How is Copilot working for you there?
