Microsoft Edge’s new image editor, Designer, was recently updatedwith AI features, but as always, the Redmond-based tech giant didn’t stop here, and it quickly followed with a new set of features that make the editor way easier to use.
According to the tech enthusiast,@Leopeva64, who first spotted these features, Designer in Microsoft Edge was updated to support image crop, and will also let users manage their content credentials.
While the image cropping settings can be easily accessed by simply clicking on the crop icon, the management of the content credentials can be easily accessed through the Download button, as you can see below.
The feature will ask users if they want to include additional credentials in the content, possibly as a way to not only mark the content but also copyright it.
Certain credentials are applied to work made with generative AI. Would you like to include additional content credentials?
You’ll be given the option to include the content credentials in the files you generate/edit with Microsoft Designer inside Microsoft Edge.
Designer has been recently released to Microsoft Edge, and it already allows users to engage in multiple actions, such as using AI to edit and work on different types of visual content, however, the content credential feature could be a game-changer in the long run.
It could allow users to easily copyright their content, after editing it, even if it was initially created using AI.
Commenting on the spotter’s X (formerly known as Twitter) post, Derek Johnson, Director of Product for Microsoft Designer, also apparently confirmed these features, and he said that users should expect more features coming to Designer soon.

Microsoft Edge has become one of the best browsers around, and in many ways, the Redmond-based tech giant updated it with so many useful features that it is possible the browser might be the best one on the market right now.
However, it pales in terms of popularity, when compared to Google Chrome, for instance. Butit’s still the second most used browser.
