The product Manager on the PowerPoint team, Ekta Dwivedy shared that starting today Microsoft 365 Insiders can split and merge cells in tables inPowerPoint on iPad.

The addition of this feature on PowerPoint for iPad is good for the customization and organization of tables within presentations, which ensures a neat look and enhanced readability.

To use this feature, Microsoft 365 Insiders should be on Beta Channel version 2.82. This feature can reduce the cognitive load related to the complex table structures, and let you focus on delivering powerful presentations.

On a PowerPoint slide that has a table, choose one or more cells, then tapTable, thenMerge, and selectMerge Cells.

To revert the configuration, select the cell, tapTable, thenMergeand selectSplit Cells.This frees you from manual reorganization and customization, thus saving you time.
