App Mall for Chromebook users could be one of the best gifts Google can offer to its users. For those who are unaware, Chromebooks come with different types of apps. First, unarguably, are the web apps (often called PWAs) that run in-built Chrome browsers. Additionally, Android apps,Steam games, and Linux apps are the other three kinds of apps you can run on Chromebooks.

With so many app options from different platforms, choosing the best ChromeOS app has always been challenging for users. In short, you can’t find all these apps in one place. So, to resolve this issue, Google is working towards a one-stop solution named ‘App Mall’ for Chromebooks.

The upcoming feature will help Chromebook users access new apps optimized for ChromeOS. To give you an idea, Spotify is available as both a web app and an Android app viaGoogle Play Store. In such scenarios, the App Mall feature will help you decide which app will offer the best user experience on your Chromebooks.

The App Mall feature is a work in progress andhidden behind a flag in chrome://flags. Fortunately, you need not change flags to access the new App Mall. The App Mall is a web-based app accessible through anupcoming website. If you try to access the website now, it will throw the “Your connection is not private” error.
