If you’re seeing YouTube’s message,Try searching to get started. Start watching videos to help us build a feed of videos you love, more often, you’re not alone. This happens quite often on various browsers on Android as well when visiting YouTube to watch videos.
This is not a new thing but it’s getting quite annoying that Google now requires you to sign into your account and have watch history enabled.
Hi guys, seems like today is getting a big problem. The try searching to get started thing started to roam around my YouTube account and can always COME BACK even if I have my videos already watched without clearing it. It’s so annoying. It only happens to my main account sadly, my alts never had the same issue right now… But please I want this annoying thing to end!
Luckily, you can make this message disappear for that time being, while you’re on the page even in incognito or private browsing mode. First, watch a video available from one of the sections underExplorefor a minute. Then, reload the YouTube two or three times to see YouTube showing recommendations and the feed is back up. However, note that this workaround is only for the current session.
To avoid this happening repeatedly, you may have to sign into your YouTube account and ensure your watch history is on. It may take some time for YouTube to generate a feed if you have removed your watch history.
To enable watch history in YouTube, go to Feed > History and click onManage all history. Then, on theYouTube Historypage clickTurn onand confirm the option.
If the problem persists, tryinstalling the YouTube app on your PCto avoid this problem.
This message usually appears in Incognito mode when you are not signed into your account. If you would be on a regular tab on Google Chrome, you would most likely be logged into YouTube account automatically and would not see the message at all.
