A few months ago, HP announced some new gaming devices that got everybody excited. Now they surprised us and announced their new gaming PC running Windows 10, namely the OMEN X Desktop. Microsoft declared that OMEN is a very powerful desktop that can be fully customized by users.
It is designed to offer the best performance to any gamer, together with a modern design and a good thermal management. The cube shape also helps in housing an innovative solution for managing temperatures, based on a design with three chambers and separate cooling for each.
Obviously, the OMEN X Desktop will be VR compatible and it will bring lots of other interesting features. First of all, it runs overclockable chipsets, namely the sixth generation of Intel Core i5 and i7.
Secondly, it seems that it will have dual AMD Radeon R9 Fury X or dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, both of which are great. Moreover, it will also contain NVME PCIe connected SSDs, support for DirectX 12 and support for maximum 3 cooling radiators (120 mm ones that have exhaust events to be mounted on the top).
It’s great that you can customize the LED light and adjust the brightness in real time. There are also four modes, Audio Show, System Monitor, Color Show and Single Color from where you can choose. An interesting change brought to the design of a regular gaming PC is the fact that the case has a stand that raises it off the ground. This is not included just for the innovative and modern design, but also to facilitate a better ventilation.
Another great option is the fact that you will be able to choose whatever specs you would like, and for this HP collaborated with Maingear for making this possible starting with 2017.
