AfterMicrosoft shed 1900 jobs in Activision, the gaming industry has been witnessing turbulent times. Radical Forge’s announcement to lay off ahandfulof employees is the latest in a series of setbacks.

As per the announcement, the restructuring will affect employeeswhose roles or skill sets are no longer needed on current or upcoming projects. On the bright side for the company, it will not hamper or delay the delivery of any lined-up projects.
Radical Forge, though a relatively smaller company, has worked on popular games likeSea of ThievesandZombie Army 4. It’s working on another title,Southfield, a chaotic physics-based farming game, which will soon be added to Steam early access.
Last week, two major gaming companies terminated the contracts of a large number of employees. WhileSony laid off 900and closed theLondon Studio,EA released 5% of its workforce.
