Microsoft just added a new feature in Build 26016 (Canary Channel) that allows you to get instant notifications on your PC when you capture a new image on your Android device. With a single tap, you can view, edit or share the images from your phone!
Of course, that will only happen if you add your device to the managed mobile devices in Windows.
How do I enable photo notifications from your Android device?
After this, every time you take a new shot on your Android phone, you will get a notification on your Windows device prompting you to view, edit or share the image from your mobile device.
You should know that this settings was updated withBuild 26016in the Canary Channel. You will not find it yet on the Windows 11 versions from the general release channel.
Also, after linking your phone, your PC will receive a Cross Device Experience Host update in the Microsoft Store that is required for this experience to work.
You should know that you can already use Phone Link for PC and Link to Windows on Android to get the images from your mobile device. You may also usePhone Link to connect your iPhonewith Windows 11.
The new Build 26016 also brings other features like anew Windows Setup Experienceand80Gbps USB support for Windows 11.
However, with the new notification feature, you can access the images instantly on your PC.
