Microsoft said 2024 is the year of a new AI era with the release ofthe Copilot key, and the Redmond-based tech giant is keeping that promise up by announcing the new TRAIN initiative: Trustworthy & Responsible AI Network that aims to bring AI to every healthcare facility.
In a press release, Microsoft says TRAIN will see the deployment of safe and responsible AI in healthcare organizations to improve the quality, safety, and trustworthiness of AI in health. TRAIN sees the partnership of dozens of healthcare organizations across the US, including:
The Redmond-based tech giant says that the network also includes partnerships with OCHIN, and TruBridge, two organizations that deal with medical technology, and community healthcare, assuring that every individual, regardless of income and resources, has access to the TRAIN technologies.
When it comes to AI’s tremendous capabilities, there is no doubt the technology has the potential to transform healthcare. However, the processes for implementing the technology responsibly are just as vital. By working together, TRAIN members aim to establish best practices for operationalizing responsible AI, helping improve patient outcomes and safety while fostering trust in healthcare AI.
