As you might be aware, there are multiple ways in which you can use Copilot, but you can separate them into work and personal use. Thus, we have the free version of Copilot and Copilot Pro for personal use. Yet, for work, you can either use Copilot for Microsoft 365 or log in with your work account on Copilot Pro and benefit from the commercial data protection.

Furthermore, if you decide to useCopilot Pro, you will have access to various plugins for content creation, planning, and more. On the other hand,Copilot for Microsoft 365will focus on the safety of your work data. So, the prompts won’t be saved or shared with Microsoft, and there aren’t plugins yet.

What is the difference between Copilot for work and Copilot for personal use?

What is the difference between Copilot for work and Copilot for personal use?

There are various differences between Copilot for work and Copilot for personal use. The most notable ones are the features. For example, you can use Copilot forMicrosoft 365 in Teams, graph grounding, and enterprise-grade data protection.

However, Copilot Pro will mostly protect your data if you use a work account. So, we don’t recommend you to share personal information. Furthermore, you can use Pro only on Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

Copilot free and Pro are the best ones for daily queries. After all, the plugins can help you generate content, such as images, songs, and messages. In addition, you can use them to plan trips, to compare items, and for various other reasons.

By the way, if you turn off theSearch plugin, Copilot won’t be able to access the other ones. In addition, it will only use the data it already has.

On the other hand, Copilot 365 is better suited for work tasks. You can use it tosummarize emails, to enhance your work performance, to prepare for meetings, and to organize your schedule. Furthermore, compared to Pro, it is not as creative, and the interface is work-oriented and looks a bit bland. Also, theadd-ons cost a lot.

Ultimately, there are differences between Copilot for work and for personal use. Unfortunately, you need to decide which one of them suits you better. On the other hand, if you feel like paying $50 monthly, you can get both subscriptions. However, keep in mind that they are not the same application, and they address different needs.

What do you think? Is it worth getting both Copilot subscriptions? Let us know in the comments.
