According to the SiSoft Sandra database, Samsung’s new Galaxy Book5 Pro laptop will be powered by the Lunar Lake 8-core, Intel’s next-gen CPU, and Arc Battlemage Xe2 GPU.
Intel is working on launching the next-gen low-power mobile chip, codenamed Lunar Lake. It could be the first processor outsourced completely, based on TSMC’s new N3 process node.
This is not the first time Samsung will use Intel processors; it has been doing the same for the Galaxy Book series. These new Lunar Lake CPUs will be the first processors packed with Xe2 GPU, and they will be exclusive, as per the announcement in 2024.
The upcoming laptop will include a Lunar Lake CPU with 8 cores and clock speeds between 1.6 GHz and 2.8 GHz. Let’s take a look at more information on CPU and GPU:
According to these configurations, we can presume that Samsung is working on the Galaxy Book5 Pro laptop, which will come with an Intel Xe2 GPU with 512 shaders, 64 Vector Engines (Execution Units), and 4 x Xe2-Cores.
Here are the Intel Lunar Lake features mentioned:
We can expect the processor to be launched in late 2024 or at the start of 2025.
