At a time when more and more companies are integrating artificial intelligence into their products, Microsoft has a clear lead. FromCopilot, an AI-based chatbot, to a newAI-poweredFile Explorer, the list is endless. And now, Microsoft has added aMagic Erasefeature to OneDrive on Android.
First reported byAndroid Authority, the AI-drivenMagic Erasefeature strings were spotted inMicrosoft OneDrive v7.1 beta 1.
As per the information deduced from the strings,Magic Erasecomes with anAuto Applyfeature, which ensures that changes are automatically saved. Besides, there will also be a warning highlighting that this is an AI-powered feature and some changes may not be perfect.
The exact warning reads,This feature uses AI to infill the removed area and may not be perfect or what you expect. If you find the results to be unexpected, please send us feedback.
Google Photos has had a similarMagic Eraserfeature for over a year now, and it is pretty refined.Magic Eraserallows you to quickly remove unwanted object(s) from the picture in one go. Google’s feature also provides quick suggestions about clearing undesirable objects and people from the photo.
Last month, Microsoft added anAI-powered eraser in Windows Photos, the native image viewer on Windows PCs. So, we expect the AI-drivenMagic Eraseto make its way to the stable version of OneDrive on Android soon. As for iOS, there’s no official confirmation so far.
