Last month, Microsoft announced in theXbox business Updatepodcast that it was planning to bring the exclusive Xbox games to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded and Hi-Fi Rush are the first four games that would become multi-platform.
One of the biggest games on Xbox, Sea of Thieves is very popular among Xbox and PC gamers, and according to the post sharedBenji-Saleson X (formerly known as Twitter), it is already the #1 Best selling pre-order on PlayStation network in the United States.
Another video gaming experts on X have confirmed that it is getting good response in other territories, including UK, France, and Germany.

In countries like Spain and Canada, it is in the top five most pre-ordered games on the PlayStation Store. Sea of Thieves is the first Rare game to make it to the Sony platform
This might be the sign that Microsoft’s plan to extend Xbox exclusive games to a larger gaming community seems to work and if it is successful entirely, we might see more games on other platforms.
Sea of Thieves will be available on PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2024 and is already available on Xbox Series X/S, and PC and with Xbox Game Pass.
