Sea of Thieves’ latest update is gigantic, huge, big, and, to make a very inspired joke, almost Starfield, because, well, it is that big. For example, it will occupy a fifth of your Xbox Series S storage, and we could say it is a game on its own.
More specifically, the download size of the update is the following, according toRare’s official blog post:
Ironically, the Xbox Series S, which is known for its small storage units (around 512 GB, although the newEllewood versionwill reportedly sport a 1 TB storage unit), is getting the beefier update.
However, fortunately, this update will make the game operate on the Xbox Game Development Kit (GDK), meaning from now on, updates will be much smaller than this one.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to install the update to continue playing the game, so buckle up, free some of your space (if you’re playing it on your Xbox console), and make time to download and install the gigantic update.
The update brings many many features with it, including multiple features that will greatly improve the experience of playing this game. Some of the most important are DirectX 11, and DirectX 12 support, which will be automatically selected, as well as major improvements for PC players of the game.
Here are all the game improvements coming with this update:
In moments like these, it would be useful if Xbox had a faster connection to the Internet. But wait, in the following weeks, Xbox users will be able to download gigantic updates like these10x faster.
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a bit more. However, while you wait for the update to download and install, you can go overthe full list of featurescoming to the game with the patch.
Beware, it’s big.
