If you have been hesitant about installing the latest version of Windows 11 and avoided it all these years, there aren’t many options left!

Microsoft, in a note on theofficial website, confirmed that they will start to automatically update eligible Windows 11 devices to version23H2, the latest stable version.

So, the update primarily targets devices running Windows 11 versions that are pastEnd of Life(EoL)or will soon reach it.

Since it’s a phased rollout, the update will be available to individual users at different times (through Windows Update), based on region and device. Though, you can always manuallydownloadWindows 11 23H2and install it!

At present, Microsoft hasn’t shared a way to opt out of the forced update, and we don’t think it will!

But if you don’t want to installWindows 11 23H2,permanently disabling Windows updatesshould do the trick. This puts the PC at risk since it will also be missing the latest security updates. So, make sure to use aneffective antivirus solutionfor complete protection!
