A few days ago, we saw anupdate for Chrome that improves search suggestions, but it seems that Google has something new in the store.
The company is working on a new feature that will change how the fullscreen mode works, so let’s see what the fuss is all about.
Google will offer a new way to exit fullscreen mode on Chrome
Google will finally change how fullscreen mode works, according toMSPowerUser. This was first spotted by Leopeva64 on Twitter.
Google could add another way to exit the browser’s full screen mode in Chrome, you’ll just have to hold down the Esc key, currently it is possible to do it with the f11 key, but on some laptops you also have to press the fn key, so the new method is a little faster:pic.twitter.com/YMFXC6lrJS
Currently, you can enter and exit fullscreen mode in Chrome by pressing theF11key. However, less experienced users can activate this mode by accident and then get stuck.
This change will fix that, and now users will be able to exit fullscreen mode by pressing theEsckey on their keyboard, which is more intuitive.
Laptop users should be especially happy with this change since they won’t have to use theFn+F11keyboard shortcut anymore.
This feature seems to be available only internally and to access it, users need to enable a hiddenEsc to exit browser fullscreenflag.
Although the release date remains unknown, this feature will be available on all desktop platforms. Keep in mind that this feature is in the testing phase, just likepassword sharing on Chrome for Android, so we might not see it anytime soon, or at all.
