Microsoft Teams will soon debut a new multi-windows experience that will let users chat in Teams meetings, and look at content on the platform, in a side-by-side stage view, according to the latest entry inMicrosoft 365 Roadmap.
The new experience is to be released on all platforms, so virtually all Microsoft Teams users should be enjoying it at the same time. The roadmap says Microsoft will add the feature to Teams in March 2024.
Microsoft introduced the ability to pop Teams meetings in separate windowsa while ago, but the platform didn’t support letting users do anything else, other than having to attend those meetings. Sure, you could browse the internet on Edge if you access Teams from there, but this new experience is different.
It would let users look at content on Teams while having a meeting in Teams, and these experiences will be side-by-side. As Microsoft mentions in the description, this feature could potentially be of great use to multitaskers, as it can streamline work on multiple fronts.
We’ll have to wait until March, to see exactly what this feature will look like. But this feature might become one of the best released on Teams recently.
