Microsoft will deprecate the Test Base for Microsoft 366 entirely in the future months, as the Redmond-based tech giantannouncedthat the platform will transition to an end-of-life (EOL) state on May 31, 2024.

The platform will no longer be usable after its retirement, which is quite disappointing because it was a very useful tool to test apps, at a global scale, and in a remote way.
According to Microsoft, Enterprises/Businesses, Independent Software Publishers, System Integrators (SIs), and IT Professionals who want to validate their line-of-business (LOB) applications through integration with Microsoft Intune, are the perfect candidates for this platform, as it could accommodate each customer’s needs.
From expanding the testing matrix to ensuring technical integrity, compatibility, and usability of applications, Test Base for Microsoft 365 gave customers all the necessary tools to develop viable apps. In addition, the platform also tested applications for security and privacy issues within virtual machines.
Creating a Test Base for Microsoft 365 required an active Azure subscription, but overall setting up and working inside the platform was quite simple. Customers to complete a few details, and then they could create projects where they could test their applications.
The whole platform is not just easy to use, but also intuitive and versatile. Microsoft hasn’t specified the reason why it’s deprecating the platform, but there is a chance the Redmond-based tech giant will reveal it in the months coming up to the deprecation.
The company recently announced the deprecation of the belovedWSA (Windows Subsystem for Android)platform, and many users of it were disappointed by the news. However, in that case,the lack of Google Play supportis what drove Microsoft to deprecate it, as financially speaking, the platform was a dead end.
