Microsoft and other tech companies encountered issues with the EU’s DMA laws recently. If you’re not familiar, these laws are in place to prevent the monopolizing of services and ensure a fair market.
As a result, Microsoft is now testing a feature that allows you to switch to a different chat provider in Copilot.
The new build lets you select a different chatbot in Copilot
As you know,Copilot might read all your files and private data, and this comes as no surprise sinceMicrosoft plans to integrate Copilot into the right-click menu.
The new build is here, and it allows you to haveCopilot in a separate window, but that’s not all.As Gizchina writes, you can now switch your chatbot starting from build 26080.
Microsoft is currently testing this feature, and there are only two options available, Copilot, and Copilot Enterprise. Although the choice between providers is extremely limited, we expect to see additional options soon.
By having the option to choose their chat provider, enterprise users can protect their privacy since the Enterprise version offers improved data protection.
This is a welcome change since now users will be able to customize their Copilot experience and choose the best version for their needs.
This build is currently available for testing in the Dev channel, so go ahead and check it out if you’re interested.
