Xbox will release a newer version of the series X console this year. Furthermore, the next-gen Xbox console is said to arrive by 2028. So, the new version might have an Intel APU featuring a chip with CPU, GPU, and NPU.

The next-gen Xbox console could be the first one on the market to use AI tiles as a result of having an Intel APU chip. After all, the NPU built by Intel can improve the overall performance of a device, and other functions as well, such as power control. Thus, it could eventually lead to performance differences between the next-gen Xbox console and PS 6.

If you are wondering what AMD is working on, know that they signed contracts with Sony. Thus, they will be making PS 6 and the next PS portable console.

However, as nothing is yet set in stone, Xbox might still sign a contract with AMD and there are rumors about them discussing with Nvidia too. As a result, the whole Intel contract might be just a way to get a better deal from AMD.

In a nutshell, if Xbox signs a contract with Intel, the next-gen console will be a powerhouse with an AI APU. Furthermore, we can’t wait for some news and leaks about it. In addition, we will come back with more details after some official announcements, so stay tuned.
