A dangerous Apex Legends hack happened during the Apex Legends Global Series, and the finals of the event have been delayed after two streamers were hacked while having a match. After being hacked, Noyan “Genburten” Ozkose of DarkZero started to see other players through walls, and Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen of TSM was given an aimbot.
On Twitch, you can see the exact moment one of the streamers is being hacked. Being able to see other players through walls, as well as being given an aimbot meant the players would have been cheating. Fortunately, one of them was able to spot it moments after being hacked and left the game shortly. The other streamer continued playing, but the game was ultimately abandoned.
The Anti-Cheat Police Department releaseda statement on X(formerly known as Twitter), confirming the hacks, and saying that they could be further used to spread malware on affected devices.

I would advise against playing any games protected by EAC or any EA titles once they have fixed this or can comment. Currently, the RCE is being abused to inject cheats into streamers machines, which means they have the capabilities to do whatever, like installing ransomware software locking up your entire PC.
What to do to prevent or combat this hack? From changing the passwords to the Discord platform, and emails, to enabling MFA (multi-factor authentication). Affected users are advised to not share any personal and sensitive information, and reinstalling the OS (in this case Windows) is mandatory, as soon as possible.
Attention to all players who participated in the ALGS tournament, I strongly recommend that you take immediate measures to protect your personal information. It is advisable that you change your Discord passwords and ensure that your emails are secure. also enable MFA for all your accounts if you have not done it yet perform a clean OS reinstall as soon as possible. Do not take any chances with your personal information, your PC may have been exposed to a rootkit or other malicious software that could cause further damage.
Fortunately, all these recommendations are quite easy to implement, including reinstalling Windows 11,which can be done in 2 simple steps.
