If you are a regular Outlook user, there’s another bug you should be worried about because this one concerns privacy and could prove detrimental when setting up meetings with hidden attendees.

An Outlook user onRedditdescribes that when forwarding the meeting request with hidden attendees to another participant, the latter can see all the other attendees in a quoted message under the invite.

Even upon verifying this by sending a request to another non-Outlook email, the same pattern emerged, highlighting that it was a bug in Outlook itself and not a one-time issue.

The Outlook user goes on to call aMajor privacy issue, and it indeed is. Also, such glaring loopholes should be identified in the testing phase and should never make it to the stable version.

Besides, users have, for a long time, been complaining about other aspects of Outlook, for instance, issues with search, problems with sign-in, constraints on the maximum number of emails that can be moved at once, and the slightly tricky UI.

Outlook’s data collection has also been under the radar, especially after Proton flagged it in ablog post!

At the same time,Outlook is introducing new featuresto keep its existing user base intact, and that has worked to some extent. But unless Microsoft fixes basic issues like the hidden attendees’ bug in Outlook, users may switch toOutlook alternatives.
