Edge is a decent browser, but it does have a couple of flaws that stop it from being a good and reliable browser.

One of the biggest complaints is its design, and users have finally had enough.

Market alerts keep covering bookmarks in Edge, and users aren’t happy

Edge has its flaws, that’s for certain, butusers on Reddit had to complainabout the recent change.

In Edge, pinned websites are shown in the new tab, just under the search bar. For an unknown reason, Microsoft decided to add market alerts to that section, thus taking precious bookmark space.

To make matters worse, it’s not possible to remove market alerts, so you’ll always see them, even if you don’t ever use this feature.

Unhappy users were quick to voice their displeasure:

And this is why Microsofts software generally sucks. They always design it to be self serving. It doesn’t serve the user as much as it serves them and their interests.

Others also rightfully criticized the bloatware and the terrible user interface:

I don’t get it why Microsoft loads their software with bloatware and uncomfortable UI’s, don’t they have an UX team to tell them it’s a poor choice? No matter how good Edge it is I can stand its UI/UX

I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but Edge seemed half decent when they first released it. Now they have added so much bloat and every update you have to figure out how to turn something off it’s exhausting to use.

Many also pointed out that they don’t have market alerts, and we also didn’t notice this change on our version of Edge at the time of writing:

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Microsoft did something like this, andrecently we got a Windows 10 update that clutters your lock screen with useless information.

Luckily, at least you canstop Windows from promoting Edgeif you decide to abandon it for good.
