After Microsoft released Voice Clarity inWindows 11 Insider Preview Build 26040 (Canary Channel), enthusiasts are all thrilled, and so should you! The audio enhancement feature was previously available only on Surface devices.
According to theofficial blog post,Voice Clarity is a feature that enhances your audio experience on Windows with state-of-the-art AI technology. It filters out background noise, minimizes reverberation, and eliminates echo in real time.
How does Voice Clarity work on Windows 11?
Voice Clarity, an AI-based feature, is enabled by default on devices and can be used to improve the audio experience on applications that utilizeCommunications Signal Processing Mode, such as Phone Link and WhatsApp.
Besides, the feature has minimal system requirements and doesn’t require any additional hardware. Justx64andArm64CPUs should do!
The introduction of Voice Clarity on Windows 11 is set to improve the video calling experience, in addition to providingenhanced audio while gaming.
So, on Zoom or Team meetings, other participants should be able to hear your voice clearly, and thebackground sounds, either from your end or someone else’s, should be filtered out. Video calls will become more like a one-to-one interaction in terms of audio quality!
The same goes for games, where Voice Clarity will refine the built-in voice chat.
Voice Clarity will truly be a game changer for regular users, once rolled out, and may effectively replacenoise cancellation software, thus saving you a few bucks every month.
Some reports suggest that Voice Clarity may not be released for all devices in the stable channel, but that’s yet to be confirmed. For now, if you want to test out the feature,download the Windows Insider Build.
