There are still some good months before we can get our hands on theElden Ring: Shadow of the ErdtreeDLC, but until then, you can join the pre-alpha for the upcoming Vindictus: Defying Fate, which bears a close resemblance to the popular Dark Souls cousin.

Nexon, the developer behind the Vindictus franchise, announced that the pre-alpha will open on Wednesday, March 13, at 18:00 PDT, to Monday, March 18 at 01:00 PDT, and those wishing to join it, can do so through Steam.

What should you expect? Well, according to the two trailers released specifically for it, those joining the pre-alpha should get a first taste of the upcoming title, as well as a lot of fun, obviously.

The two trailers show the game’s main characters, Fiona and Lann, fighting fantasy-inspired creatures, in open-world environments, and, as you guessed it, they definitely remind us of Elden Ring. Will it be as difficult as the Bandai Namco game? Well, you’ll have to join the pre-alpha to find out.

To join, you’ll need to log into your Steam account, and:

The game will be available on Windows PCs, but we don’t know any other details about console availability. However, it will most likely be released on Xbox Series X, and S, and PlayStation 5, as well.

Nexon doesn’t say anything about its plot either, but the game will be a dark fantasy-based adventure RPG, most likely.
