Microsoft has quietly updated the list of Windows 11-supported processors to include an array of new Intel chips. However, the list only includes the new Gen 14 Intel Core and Core Ultra processors, so if you were hoping for the addition of some older Intel processors, then you will be disappointed.

Another disappointing aspect, especially for AMD lovers, is that no new AMD processors made it to the list, as the list of supported AMD processors remained unchanged.

However, you should be aware that even if you don’t find your processor on the list, there is still a chance it could run Windows 11, asMicrosoft states:

It is expected that the processor list will not reflect the most current offerings from processor manufacturers between updates. Updates to the processor lists will occur at each subsequent general availability of Windows.

The new processors should have no trouble running Windows 11, including the upcoming2024 Update, which is slated for release later this year, and it will reportedly feature multiple AI capabilities.
