In a significant development,Pi, an AI-based chatbot that primarily focuses on being empathetic and helpful, will now use an upgraded LLM,Inflection-2.5, which will significantly enhance its capabilities.

In anofficial blog post, the company announced that the newInflection-2.5LLM would allow you to search the web in real time to deliver up-to-date, accurate information, in addition to performing intricate coding and mathematical operations.

All this was achieved with just 40% of the resources and work, as compared to OpenAI’sGPT-4!

The company claims that withInflection-2.5,Pistands very close toGPT-4, achieving94%of the average performance.

The introduction ofInflection-2.5will enhance the skill set of the AI-based chatbot while maintaining the warm, helpful and empathetic nature that initially captivated users. The rollout ofInflection 2.5is complete, and you can experience it on the website, mobile app, and desktop app!

Pi, at present, is free, but the company is looking for ways to monetize it, and a paid subscription could be introduced soon. Though there’s no official confirmation on the subscription fee. Nevertheless, we expect a free model to remain available, as is the case withOpenAI’sChatGPT.
