The last few weeks witnessed a series of rumours regarding Xbox. Speculations were recently rife thatXbox is going digitaland thatphysical games would go obsoletein a few years. A few also claimed that Xbox may stop making consoles altogether and focus on publishing games.

If you are a fan of Xbox consoles, we have good news! According to journalistShannon Liaoin herSubstack newsletter, Microsoft’s gaming division CEO,Phil Spencer, in an internal townhall with Xbox executives, shared that the company has no plans to stop making consoles.

Liao also reported thatXboxes would continue to be part of a strategy that involves multiple kinds of devices.

Xbox fans can heave a sigh of relief!

The change may be a result of the major backlash faced by Xbox developers within the gaming community. Several Xbox users have, in the recent past, criticized the tech giant for its approach towards the console.

However, there has been no official confirmation from Microsoft so far on this or other rumours going around. But given how things are, we can expect some changes to be implemented.

At this point, it’s best to wait forMicrosoft to share the vision for Xbox, expected in an event this week. It will also put an end to speculations as to whetherXbox-exclusive titles are coming to PlayStation.
