Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond, and Matt Booty finally came to the stage to discuss about the Xbox strategy, the games coming to PlayStation and the latest rumors.

First of all, relax, everyone, Microsoft is not ditching the Xbox brand and Game Pass is still going to be the greatest platform for delivering games.

Phil Spencer did say that there arefour games coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, but they are not India Jones or Starfield, so you can also rest your mind on that. According to Phil Spencer, they are not AAA games but ratherhidden gemsthat have already proven their popularity amongst gamers.

A new handheld console will shake the market

A new handheld console will shake the market

By far, the most exciting announcement was that Microsoft is preparing a handheld console that will be thebiggest generational leapfor an Xbox console ever.

We’re also invested in the next-generation roadmap, and what we’re focused on there is delivering the largest technical leap you will have ever seen in a hardware generation. Which makes it better for players and better for creators and the visions that they’re building.

We can only assume that the next console will challenge all the other existing competitors on the market and we’re sure that we will get some scoops about it soon enough.

As we’ve mentioned in the beginning of this article, there’s nothing negative about Xbox Game Pass. In fact, according to the officials, Game Pass reached 34 million subscribers, up from 25 million in 2022.

Another great scoop is that Microsoft confirmed that the biggest Activision title, Diablo IV will enter Game pass in March.

Phil Spencer didn’t say anything aboutXbox titles going exclusively digital, but we can assume that as physical media sales are going down and gamers are gradually ditching them in favor of cloud and hard drives, they are soon going to follow suite with exclusive digital downloads.

So, there are exciting news from Microsoft and Xbox, right? Let us know in the comments your thoughts about these announcements.
