Lenovo is one of the biggest (and oldest) PC manufacturers, with multiple lineups ranging from budget devices to premium laptops and tablets. The Yoga family falls into the premium category, being a consumer-oriented lineup with a slick design and innovative features.

While currently there are only laptops and tablets under the Yoga branding, according to our trusted source, the company is adding a brand new member to the family, the Lenovo Yoga True Wireless Stereo Earbuds (that’s a mouthful). In other words, Lenovo is expanding Yoga beyond a simple lineup into a true (but small, for now) ecosystem, following the likes of Apple, Google, orSamsung.

The Yoga TWS Earbuds enter a pretty crowded and competitive space, but if you already own a Lenovo laptop, you’ll love some of the ecosystem features the company promises.

Yoga TWS Earbuds: How conferencing should sound like

Let’s get one thing out of the way: the Yoga TWS Earbuds aren’t for hardcore fitness enthusiasts or hiking aficionados; they’re more aimed at those who are looking for a seamless conferencing experience or a good integration between multiple sources and the earbuds themselves.

The design aligns with the industry, resembling Apple’s AirPods Pro and other similarly shaped earbuds, with a long stem and silicone earplugs. While the actual body of the buds is matte, the stems have a glossy exterior side, most likely for better control of touch inputs. The case is also matte (goodbye fingerprints!) and has rounded edges, featuring a single pairing button on the left side, an LED indicator on the front, and a USB C port for charging.

But the real star of the show here is the software! And that’s because the Yoga TWS Earbuds have some interesting interactions with other Yoga devices. One is open to connect; again, similar to AirPods, the Yoga buds are ready to connect to your Yoga laptop just by opening the case near your laptop. So, there is no complicated pairing process as long as you connect them to a Yoga device.

Once connected, you can answer Teams calls with a single touch. Pairing the buds with multiple devices allows you to switch between them seamlessly through touch interactions, making the Yoga TWS Earbuds perfect for those using a laptop and a tablet for their work. Both single connection and multipoint connection are available as options.

Another neat trick is Voice ID, a software feature that combines voice recognition from the PC with the one from the earbuds to enhance and articulate your voice in calls and meetings. That’s possible thanks to the 3 included mics on each earbud plus the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC). Both voice and audio quality are covered, the buds also being Dolby Atmos certified.

Finally, regarding usability, the Yoga TWS earbuds promise 6.5 hours of battery life with ANC off and 33 hours with the charging case, with only 1 hour to fully charge them. Check out the table below for full specifications:

The Yoga True Wireless Stereo Earbuds will be officially unveiled atCES 2024, with no confirmed launch date. While there isn’t any price mention yet, we expect them to fall in the same bracket as the already established competitors.
